Do other sports need enforcers like hockey has?
Maybe the New England Patriots would learn some dignity and class if, when they tried to run up the score, and opposing player would lay out Tom Brady.
Or maybe the Boston Red Sox would gain some dignity if every time that idiot did a riverdance someone would check him into a wall.
"The Code"......it works you know. Hockey needs to keep self regulation in it's game. It will prevent the clowns from taking over.
As far as your running up the score comment is concerned;
In ANY professional sport, there is no such thing as running up the score. They are all professionals that get paid to put a product out on the ice, court, field, etc. for entertainment.
If the Redskins didn't like what the Patriots were doing on the field yesterday, its simple, play some defense and stop them! I don't know that much about football, so I am not trying to debate with you. But I do know hockey and I do know this, if the NHL team I follow is down 8-0 and the other team gets a powerplay late in the 3rd, do I expect them not to shoot and just pass around??? Hell no, I expect them to work on their powerplay and try and score again. Its more entertaining for the fans and my team at least gets to work on its penalty kill.
You act like that NFL game yesterday was Ohio State playing Harvard. Giant difference my friend and even the Redskins coach said he had zero issue with the game. There is no such thing as running up the score in any PRO sport. Period. If the loosing team doesnt like it, put a better product out there, or quit the league you are in if it is too good for you.
I am not a big fan of baseball or football, much less any New England area team, but you are really grasping at straws for your excuses to hate those teams IMO.
