After I turn in a job application, what should I do next?
I'm 18 years old and I'm looking for a summer job. This will be my first real job. I filled out and turned in eight applications to local restaurants, hoping to become a busboy or dishwasher. It has been three days since I returned the applications back to the hostesses. I haven't received a phone call from any of them. I'm not even sure if they're hiring. What would be the best thing for me to do now?
wait another few days and/or call back and politely ask of whether you got the job or not.
wisest thing to do next time is when you turn in your application, ask on how you will be contacted regarding your status. If they say "We'll call you" then all you can do is wait. If they give specific instructions, follow them.
